Navigating the Haze: Marijuana and Changes to Federal Law

May 29, 2024

On April 30, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration moved to recommend reclassifying marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act—the biggest drug policy shift in 50 years, with significant implications for federal grantees.

This webinar will offer key insights into what the rescheduling means and whether it sufficiently brings state legalization efforts into compliance with federal controlled substances law. It will also provide guidance on whether the loosened restrictions and increased flexibility under a Schedule III classification should prompt health centers, research institutions, and other grantees to enact changes to policies and procedures.

The on-demand version of this webinar will be available for purchase after the conclusion of the live webinar.
