HOW DO I FIND THE WEBINAR I WANT?
To find a webinar, browse the calendar on the home page, navigate by topics in each practice area, or search our full catalog of events. On the Events tab, select "Recorded Webinar" or "Live Webinar" from the drop-down menu labeled "Format," to filter the results. When you find the webinar you'd like to view, click on the "Register" tab and complete your registration and payment. Then, you will receive a confirmation email along with a receipt.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN A LIVE WEBINAR?
To view a live webinar, register for the event following the steps above. At the scheduled date and time, click on the GoToWebinar link provided in your confirmation and reminder emails. Or, you can also reach the webinar by loging into your Learning Center account, and in My Account, select Pending Activities, click on the webinar scheduled for that day, and select the button Take Course.
WHAT IF I'M BUSY THE DAY OF THE WEBINARS?
All of our webinars are available in live and recorded formats. If the scheduled date and time work with your schedule, you can join us live. If not, the recording will be available 24-48 hours after the live event. If you purchase the live version and are unable to make the event, Contact Us and we can switch your enrollment to the recording.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR A WEBINAR?
Methods of payment for webinars include credit card, PayPal, and check. If you need to use a purchase order, please Contact Us for an invoice.
Live Webinars: We do not accept check payments for live webinars on the day of the webinar. If you wish to pay by check, please register in enough time for your check to reach our office; we must receive your check before we grant access to the webinar. If we receive your check after the live webinar, we will grant you access to the recorded webinar.
On-Demand Webinars: If you pay by credit card or PayPal, you will be able to access the recorded webinar immediately (unless the live webinar has not yet occurred). If you pay by check, we will grant access to the recording when we receive your check. You will receive a confirmation email once access is granted. FTLF reserves the right to suspend access to the webinar if payment is not received within 30 days.
WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN A LIVE WEBINAR?
A registration fee for an FTLF webinar entitles you to webinar access by one computer. We encourage you to gather with colleagues to watch the webinar together in a conference room and do not charge per person under the following conditions:
- Registrant(s) shall not charge any person a fee in order to watch the webinar.
- Registrant(s) or other participants viewing the broadcast or recording shall not make an audio and/or video recording of any portion of the webinar.
- Registrant(s) cannot rebroadcast and/or retransmit any portion of the webinar.
- Registrant(s) shall not post the course materials, webinar audio or visual on any public-facing website or portal or otherwise share FTLF work product (e.g., through email).
- Registrant(s) shall not distribute the course materials to any persons outside registrant's organization.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PARTICIPATE IN A WEBINAR?
An unlimited number of participants can view a webinar together, but each registration is limited to a single login. To document participation for a group, access the Record of Attendence form located under the Certificate link within the activity.
HOW DO I VIEW A RECORDED WEBINAR?
Select a webinar from the course catalog and complete checkout. Once you have purchased the webinar, you can access it at any time under “My Account” in the "My Activities" section.
To begin a webinar, click the "Take Course" button and review the instructions on your screen. As you progress through the course material, you will be prompted to complete a brief course evaluation in order to obtain your attendance certificate. This certificate will be accessible on the left-hand navigation menu within the course. For more information on continuing education and certificates, see the Attendance Record FAQs.
DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE A RECORDED WEBINAR IN ONE SITTING?
No, you do not need to complete recorded webinars in a single sitting; you can review the course material at your own speed any time before the course expiration date. However, if you are in the middle of a webinar and hit pause, then log out, our system will not save your exact location in the recorded video.
To resume a partially completed course:
- Log in to your account
- Click on "My Activities"
- Select the webinar you want to view from your pending activities list
- Click "Take Course"
- Click "Resume Course"
WHAT IF I FORGET WHEN MY WEBINAR TAKES PLACE?
If you register for a webinar in advance, you will receive reminder emails leading up to the day of the live webinar. These emails will include the time, date, and a direct link to the webinar session.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY TIMES I WATCH A RECORDED WEBINAR?
Yes and no. When you purchase the recorded version of a webinar, you are purchasing access to it for a set period of time, but you can watch it as many times as you like during that time. Depending on the webinar, you will have 60 - 90 days of access (older webinars are set to 60 days, newer webinars now have a longer access period). The length of time will be listed on the course page and in your confirmation email; it will run from the date of purchase or the date of the webinar, whichever is later. If you purchase both the live and recorded versions of a webinar, the access period for the recording will not begin until the live webinar runs. Once posted to your account, you can view anytime on-demand during the access period identified in your purchase confirmation and in your account. We typically retire our webinars after a year, or sooner if there are major legal changes that impact the substantive content of the webinar.
