Health Center Corporate Compliance and 340B Training

This Corporate Compliance training will be hosted by the Michigan Primary Care Association and will provide health center staff with information from trusted health center attorneys, Dianne Pledgie, Adam Falcone, and Jason Reddish, of Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, who have years of experience advising health centers and federal grantees on compliance, contractual, and other health center related issues.
 

Health Center Corporate Compliance Training

An effective corporate compliance program is essential to maintaining compliance with the myriad legal, regulatory, and financial requirements faced by Health Centers. This compliance training will provide your Health Center with key information on enforcement trends; equip your health center with tools and tips to implement your compliance program; and empower your Health Center to maintain compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations.
 
Compliance 101 will describe the evolution of corporate compliance programs and strategies for implementing effective corporate compliance programs. Compliance 201 will describe the enforcement environment and address financial, clinical, and regulatory risk areas, including risk areas relevant to Section 330 requirements.
 

340B Program and Pharmacy Compliance Training

340B and Pharmacy will describe the program basics, implementation of policies, Medicaid implications, application of Sliding Fee Scale Discounts, and emerging areas related to the program.

Dianne K. Pledgie

As Compliance Counsel with the firm’s health law practice group, Dianne advises health centers on implementing effective compliance programs and on addressing top compliance risk areas. Dianne counsels health centers and other organizations on developing compliance programs that include the OIG’s seven elements, respond to identified compliance risk areas and reflect the organization’s culture. Dianne also advises health centers and other organizations on patient privacy and confidentiality, including the HIPAA Privacy Rule and 42 CFR Part 2. She has experience responding to privacy and security incidents, including determining whether there has been a breach, notifying patients and the government, and creating corrective action plans. Adam Falcone

Adam J. Falcone is a partner in FTLF’s national health law practice group, where he counsels a diverse spectrum of community-based organizations that render primary and behavioral healthcare services. Adam counsels clients on a wide range of health law issues, with a focus on fraud and abuse, reimbursement and payment, and antitrust and competition matters. [Full Bio]

Jason Reddish

Jason focuses his practice on the federal 340B drug discount program and the complex legal and compliance issues facing safety net providers, pharmacies, and other 340B program stakeholders. Jason began his career representing pharmaceutical manufacturers before finding his passion helping 340B program covered entities, including disproportionate share hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Ryan White HIV/AIDS clinics, and other grantees navigate the 340B program.
