Responding to an OCR HIPAA Investigation

January 16, 2020

ACCESS THE ON-DEMAND WEBINAR HERE.

Every HIPAA settlement headline started with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) investigating a covered entity. Whether the investigation was prompted by the covered entity submitting a breach report, a proactive audit by OCR, or a patient complaint, the process of responding to an OCR HIPAA investigation can be time consuming, resource intensive and stressful. Developing a thorough response is important and often leads to OCR closing the investigation without findings, fines or corrective action.

This webinar is designed to help health centers respond to an OCR HIPAA investigation. FTLF attorneys will discuss the HIPAA investigation and complaint resolution process (from initial notice of the investigation to developing a comprehensive response to common corrective action plan requirements), identify strategies for working with OCR investigators and provide details of current enforcement initiatives by OCR, including lessons learned from several recent OCR HIPAA investigations of health centers.

Please note: This webinar is offered as a complimentary product to all Health Center Compliance Premium Plan Subscribers. For more information on our Premium Plan, click here or Contact Us.
