Governing During a National Emergency

May 19, 2020

Access the on-demand webinar here.

As health centers are on the front lines working to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, many are being forced to reduce certain services, add temporary sites while furloughing staff to deal with significant financial challenges associated with patients staying at home. In this environment, health center boards must quickly adapt to shoulder additional responsibilities, while maintaining oversight of operations in compliance with Section 330 program requirements, other federal, state, and local laws.

Virtual board meetings have become the norm, generating numerous questions and concerns from the field.  In response, HRSA and some state agencies have signaled a willingness to be more flexible in assessing compliance at the governance level for the duration of the emergency.

In this webinar, we will discuss multiple dimensions of good governance in times of crisis.
