FTLF is hosting a pre-conference session at the National Head Start Association's (NHSA) 2018 Fall Leadership Institute. To register for this training and/or the Institute, please click here.

Head Start has entered a new era – new paradigm (innovation v. compliance) and new performance standards (flexible v. prescriptive). The new Aligned Monitoring System (AMS) 2.0 reflects this shift.

In this one-day pre-conference session, FTLF attorneys will walk participants through the common pitfalls that have stumped Head Start programs over the years as well as discuss the new challenges all programs should be prepared to tackle.

      Learning Objectives

After this session, participants will be able to:

      • Understand and implement best practices that allow them to be “review-ready” every day
      • Identify and discuss strategies to prepare for the AMS 2.0 Focus Areas 1 and 2
      • Develop contingency planning for unexpected events
