(Recorded Webinar) Data Management and Privacy

Duration: 60 minutes
Recorded on: 2/23/2022

Collecting, analyzing, and sharing data about your program can be a critical tool to help your Head Start program in many respects. Head Start programs use data that provide key program information to the governing body and policy council.  Together with management, they in turn use that information to help them decide which initiatives to prioritize.  Head Start programs also share data to demonstrate their achievements and value to the community. Because the data collected can be sensitive private confidential information related to the children and families the program serves, it is important handle the information with care.

All Head Start grantees must have a data management policy that complies with the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), including the privacy protection requirements in 45 C.F.R. Part 1303, Subpart C. Don’t know where to start? Join FTLF for this webinar in which we will discuss:

  • What constitutes personally identifiable information (PII)

  • Important procedures to include in your data management policy
