Discovering the Facts and Determining What to Do Next: How to Conduct Internal Investigations

May 23, 2023

Access the on-demand webinar here

Head Start programs are frequently confronted with allegations of wrongdoing by staff, employees and officers. For example, common accusations include suspicions of:

  • Mistreatment of children, parents or guardians
  • Poor quality of care and/or education of children in the program
  • Unsafe conditions
  • Misuse of funds

Regardless of the type of accusation, your organization must be able to promptly and effectively distinguish credible allegations from false and baseless statements.

With all of the additional scrutiny that Head Start programs continue to receive from Office of Head Start, the media, and others, it is important to evaluate, assess, and respond to issues that come up through appropriate internal investigations.

Join us on this webinar where we will discuss tips on when and how your organization should conduct internal investigations. We will also briefly discuss what to do with the information you uncover, whether its reporting, remedial measures, or seeking outside help
