Subrecipient Risk Assessment and Monitoring

March 24, 2022

Access the On-Demand Webinar Here.

Managing subrecipients has proven a particular area of focus with the advent of the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (“Uniform Guidance”), 2 C.F.R. Part 200. In the years after its implementation, federal awarding agencies have increased their expectations, looking more specifically for proof of risk assessments and subsequent specific monitoring steps. In this webinar, we will build from common risk areas across grant types to practical steps and tools that grantees can use to both mitigate risk in subrecipient relationships and prove they did so. In this area of grant management, many of the federal requirements prove, in many ways, to not just be the law, but also a good idea. Translating them to practical steps, grantees can significantly increase their controls without creating undue administrative burdens.
