Research Integrity Concerns During COVID-19

At a time when research communities face mounting challenges related to research during COVID-19, the concepts of scientific integrity are of utmost importance.  This webinar will cover the topic of research integrity, providing examples, sharing relevant recent guidance, and highlighting resources available to support your research administration community in this rapidly changing environment.  During the course, presenters will focus on conduct that fits within the definition of research misconduct by regulation and touch upon other forms of violations of good research practice that may also be a factor in your evaluation of any allegation of research misconduct. Specific areas include:

  1. Research integrity pressures and support systems
  2. Requirements for federally funded research during COVID-19
  3. Outreach to the research community, heightened pressures to innovate, and heightened scrutiny and investigations during the pandemic
