(Recorded Webinar) False Claims Act and Federal Grants

Duration: 75 minutes
Recorded on: 2/22/2022

The Civil False Claims Act (“FCA”) carries hefty penalties for those found to have violated it. Even the mere allegation of an FCA violation is a major event, making the avoidance of even a perceived FCA violation an important endeavor for federal grant recipients. This webinar will cover the scope of the FCA, private whistleblower action brought by “relators,” tools available to the federal government when investigating suspected FCA violations, management mechanisms that can decrease the likelihood of FCA-related allegations, and, in the unfortunate event of an allegation, strategies for weathering the storm.
