The Small Business Administration has published the form for borrowers to apply to have their PPP loan forgiven. While the application document provides some long-awaited guidance, some questions remain and there are potential pitfalls that borrowers can and should address during their loan period and before submitting their forgiveness application.
This webinar will focus on the key features of the application and the guidance that the SBA has published on forgiveness to date including computing payroll costs, counting FTEs for forgiveness, and certifications of need for the loan.
In addition, we will discuss de-conflicting funding streams to avoid so called “double dipping,” strategies and calculations relevant to the 75 percent use for “payroll costs” requirement, and employee count and rate of pay thresholds that impact forgivability. Strategic spending and careful documentation now are the keys to forgiveness later.
