Roles and Responsibilities of a Health Center Board of Directors
This is a PRIVATE WEBINAR SERIES FOR THE MOUNTAIN PARK BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
Successful health center governance starts with a strong and knowledgeable Board of Directors that understands its role in establishing the center’s direction, priorities and general operating policies, as well as overseeing and monitoring operations.
As stewards of the Section 330 funds, it is essential for Mountain Park Health Center’s Boards of Directors to understand their fundamental legal responsibilities. In this session, Partner Molly Evans will address the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Directors, including its general fiduciary duties and specific authorities under the 330-Related Requirements.
A partner in the firm’s health law practice group, Molly advises health centers on the management of clinical, employment and workforce related risks, with a particular focus on professional liability, Federal Tort Claims Act, and HIPAA matters. From her experience as both a private attorney and in-house counsel, Molly knows the importance of managing liability and risk issues in mission-driven organizations. [Full Bio]
