Focus on Finance: Contracts and Subawards & Conflict of Interest

Session Description

With new requirements in place around procurement, contacts/subawards, and conflict of interest, Community Health Centers must have a good understanding of how these areas are addressed and implement policies and practices to ensure compliance. This webinar will review the distinguishing factors between a contact and subaward, discussing the procurement and conflict of interest requirements for contracts as well as subrecipient monitoring requirements for a subaward.

Series Description

With the release of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program Compliance Manual in 2017, FQHCs were ushered into a new era of health center compliance. The new Manual reaches beyond the longstanding “19 program requirements” and identifies over 90 distinct required compliance elements. To address all of these elements, health centers need robust policies, procedures, and systems to monitor and report on these compliance elements and improve performance on an ongoing basis.

In this webinar series, the Community Health Center Association of New York State (CHCANYS) invited industry experts including CohnReznick, attorneys from Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, and HRSA Consultants to present detailed guidance and resources to enhance your organizational approach as well as recommended strategies for achieving continuous compliance.

* The live webinar series was hosted by CHCANYS in Fall 2018
