The Board's Role in Compliance and Risk Management

February 20, 2020

ACCESS THE ON-DEMAND WEBINAR HERE.

The Board’s participation in and oversight of the health center’s compliance and risk management programs is essential to the success of both programs. For the compliance program, the Board’s role is rapidly becoming a “duty of care” obligation. Section 330 implementing regulations require a health center’s Board to ensure that the health center is operated in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. For purposes of FTCA deeming, health centers must provide documentation that it has and currently implements an ongoing health care risk management program including annual reporting to the Board.

This webinar will outline the Board’s role in establishing and overseeing the health center’s corporate compliance and risk management programs, explore the recommendations and requirements for compliance and risk management programs, and set forth the expectations placed on Board members related to these programs.
