AMS 2.0: Is your Head Start Program Ready?

Fort Lauderdale, FL US
November 8, 2017 to November 9, 2017

Ever felt like you learned a lot at a training, but aren’t sure how to implement what you’ve learned?  Want to gain a deeper understanding of what the performance standards require and how to effectively operationalize those requirements?  In the fast pace of daily work in a Head Start program, are you confident that you’ll be able to spot the potential compliance issues in any scenario and that you’ll be armed with the right answers on the issues?

FTLF has developed an exciting new training format for Head Start Leadership that is designed to help you bridge the gap between training and reality - mirroring your reality as a Head Start leader by including a mixture of case studies and instruction.  With our unique approach, we’ll teach the performance standards, uniform guidance and other grant requirements using real-world case studies that implicate multiple grant requirements in a single scenario.  In practice, issues never come with a well-organized PowerPoint slide that identifies the relevant regulations and lays out helpful tips.  Instead, issues crop up when you least expect it, with a host of complicated facts muddying the water.  The Case Study Approach helps you practice analyzing issues, identifying regulations and applying rules, giving you the confidence to lead successfully.

The mixed format combines the benefits of a small workshop, including hands-on learning and opportunities to be inspired by how other programs operate, and the benefits of a large training, including lots of networking and a diverse audience of Head Start agencies.

Conference participants can earn up to 14 CPE credits in Specialized Knowledge and Applications.
