As the “eyes,” “ears” and “voice” of the community, health center governing boards are charged with the important responsibility of providing leadership and guidance in support of their health center’s mission and in overseeing the health center scope of project. Through participating in this training series and adopting good governance strategies, board members can enhance their ability to navigate their vast array of responsibilities, from monitoring finances to long-term strategic planning. 

Through this series, national experts from Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP (FTLF), CohnReznick, Greenburg Traurig, National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) will collaborate to provide New York health center board members with monthly engaging and informative training webinars, each of which will explore a distinct governance topic area.  The ultimate goals of the series will be to provide board members with the knowledge and tools to govern effectively, enhance meaningful engagement, and promote compliance, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the scope and quality of services available to the patient population.
