Title X Final Rule

January 27, 2022

Access the on-demand webinar here.

The published Title X Final Rule “Ensuring Access to Equitable, Affordable, Client-Centered, Quality Family Planning Services” went into effect on November 8, 2021.  Under the Final Rule, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Population Affairs (OPA) amended the Title X Family Planning regulations to revert to the 2000 Title X regulations, with certain key revisions.  The OPA also announced several Notice of Funding Opportunities, including approximately $256 million for an estimated 90 grant awards for a period of up to 5 years.

This monumental shift in the Title X regulations, along with the Notice of Funding Opportunities, has sparked significant interest in the Title X program, as well as questions and confusion regarding the program’s current requirements, particularly regarding options counseling and referrals for abortion.

Join FTLF attorney, Carrie Riley, as she reviews the key amendments to the Title X regulations and addresses some frequently asked questions regarding the program, particularly with regard to providing Title X services within a HRSA-funded or designated community health center.
