Compliance for the C-Suite

April 20, 2021 to April 21, 2021

In the highly regulated world of health care, enforcement agencies expect organizations to understand, assess, and mitigate their compliance risk.  This training is designed to provide health center management team members with the latest updates on compliance risks related to key federal laws and regulations, including the following topics and speakers:

Each FTLF attorney presenter will update attendees on the recent regulatory changes, enforcement activities, and emerging risks impacting health centers.  In addition, they will identify the biggest compliance challenges facing health centers in their topic area(s) and suggest strategies to effectively address those challenges.  The training will also feature several “compliance conversations” during which attendees can interact with the presenters and other attendees to discuss topics that affect the entire health center and that require an enterprise-wide response to ensure compliance.

This training is ideal for the health center’s key management, including CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, COOs, General Counsel and Compliance Officers and Risk Managers, as well as other members of the health center’s C-suite and other managers.  Because the topics addressed affect various departments, health centers are encouraged to have more than one staff member attend.

This training will include:

  • Educational sessions on substantive compliance risk areas to help health centers build their compliance work plans for 2021;
  • Compliance conversation session on the requirements and best practices for involving the Board of Directors in compliance; and
  • Opportunities to interact with FTLF attorneys and other attendees in a small group setting.

Target Audience

  • C-Suite/Leadership: CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and CMOs
  • Compliance Officers and Risk Managers
  • New members of the health center, including C-Suite, managers, and other leaders

Learning Objectives

After this training, you will be able to:

  • Describe how recent changes to the federal laws and regulations, as well as the government’s enforcement priorities, are affecting health centers
  • Develop activities for your health center’s 2021 compliance work plan to mitigate compliance risks
  • Create a calendar for reporting to the Board of Directors on compliance risks and program developments
