(Recorded Webinar) Documenting Your Disaster Response

While health centers react to various natural emergencies - hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, flooding – based on their response, they can fulfill the annual testing requirement(s) under the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule.

If a health center experiences an actual natural emergency that requires the activation of their emergency plan, the health center is exempt from the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule requirement to engage in a full-scale exercise for one year following the onset of the event.

This webinar will cover:

  • Annual emergency plan testing requirements under the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule for health centers
  • Exemption from the testing requirement for actual natural or man-made emergencies that require activation of the health center’s emergency plan
  • Tips and resources for documenting the health center’s response to the actual natural emergency
