Compliance Work Plans
A well-developed compliance work plan helps to focus attention on known areas of compliance risk, to appropriately delegate compliance activities and to track compliance program efforts (both successes and needs). While the compliance officer is often tasked with developing the compliance work plan, a comprehensive work plan requires input from managers throughout the health center. Health centers should develop the work plan to respond to both internal and external risks, a process that requires a review of recent enforcement actions and activities by federal enforcement agencies.

This webinar is designed to guide health centers through the process of developing their 2019 compliance work plan. This webinar will cover:

- Identifying risk areas using external sources, including the Office of the Inspector General’s (OIG’s) Work Plan
- Defining the role of the compliance officer in developing the health center’s compliance work plan
- Strategies for working with other staff members to develop a comprehensive compliance work plan

Dianne counsels health centers and other organizations on developing compliance programs that include the OIG’s seven elements, respond to identified compliance risk areas and reflect the organization’s culture. Dianne also advises health centers and other organizations on patient privacy and confidentiality, including the HIPAA Privacy Rule and 42 CFR Part 2. She has experience responding to privacy and security incidents, including determining whether there has been a breach, notifying patients and the government, and creating corrective action plans. A supervisor at the organization should sign the certificate, and therefore, certifies that the attendee viewed the course.
Attendance record forms are available for all webinars (live and on-demand) and can be utilized to record the attendance of numerous staff members for internal purposes.

An unlimited number of participants can experience a live or recorded webinar by broadcasting it on a projection screen and watching it together. A single login can gain access to the webinar and be issued a certificate. The record of attendance form can be accessed under the certificate link within the activity. Please note: All registrations made the day of a live webinar must be completed using a credit card or PayPal.
- No refunds for no-shows; however if requested, registrant can have access to the recorded version of the webinar.
- FTLF may issue a full refund for cancellations within at least one week prior to the LIVE webinar. No refunds will be provided for on-demand webinars.
- FTLF can accommodate changing the name on a registration to someone else within your organization or transferring the registration to another already-scheduled upcoming live webinar or an on-demand program up to 24 hours prior to the webinar start time.
- Cancellation requests made after the webinar will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
